As a young lad in the early '70s, I was certainly entranced by the lady of the lively, long red tresses and whether coincidental or not, as typically depicted by Kirby, Romita, J. Buscema, et. al., Medusa did bear a striking resemblance to Raquel Welch, only, of course, with much longer and redder hair.
